Are AI girlfriend apps safe and private?
By Adult Canvas · Updated November 4, 2026
Most AI girlfriend apps are just websites or apps with an AI behind them, but they handle intimate chats and payments, so it's worth checking a few things first. Here is a short checklist, and how Adult Canvas handles each point.
Who runs it
A trustworthy app names the company behind it, has terms of use and a privacy policy you can actually read, and gives you a way to contact a person. If you can't find any of that, be careful with your card.
Adult Canvas lists its company, its terms of use, its privacy policy and a contact page, and explains its rules in plain words on the rules and safety page.
How you pay and what your statement shows
Check two things before you pay: whether it's a subscription that renews by itself, and what name appears on your bank statement. Subscriptions are fine if you know how to cancel; surprises are not.
Adult Canvas has no subscription. You buy one-time credit packs, nothing renews by itself, and you see every price before you pay. You pay with Telegram Stars, so your statement shows Telegram, Apple or Google, never Adult Canvas, or with crypto (USDT), which leaves nothing on your bank statement.
What happens to your chats and photos
Look for three answers in the privacy policy: who can see your chats, whether they are sold or used for ads, and whether you can delete them.
On Adult Canvas other users never see your chats, and we don't sell your data or use it for ads. Photos, voice notes and videos made for you are removed from the chat after 24 hours. You can delete any chat, or your whole account, at any time.
Real people and uploads
Avoid any app that lets you upload a photo of someone and turn it into explicit images. Doing that to a real person without consent is harmful and illegal in many places, and you have no idea where the photo goes.
Adult Canvas doesn't accept uploads at all. Every girl and every photo is made by AI, and a video can only be made from a photo she sent you in the chat.
Age rules
An adult app should be for adults only, and every character should clearly be an adult. Treat any app that blurs this line as a red flag.
Adult Canvas is 18+ only, and every character is a fictional adult. Every photo and video request is checked against the rules before it's made, and a chat that breaks the rules on minors is locked.
Red flags
Be careful if an app pressures you to pay right now, hides its prices until checkout, claims a real woman is chatting with you, asks you to send money or personal details outside the app, or makes it hard to find out how billing works.
